Having the windows wide open, the wine flowing, the music on and some of the most delicious food to eat makes me a very very happy bunny. Mikey cooked chicken and asparagus salad with new potatoes. My new favourite meal ever. Mainly because you don't feel guilty after eating it but also because I've been harboring a quiet love affair with asparagus for a while now and seeing him pop up on my plate again was a very welcome surprise. And macarons for pudding is a speciality I wish I had the money to divulge in on a daily basis. ...And yes, that is another cute little card sent from no other than my wonderful mother. Beaut. Thinking about having to move out of this beautiful space so soon is a thought I'm pushing to the very very very back on my brain for fear that I'll lock myself to the balcony and swallow the key. The only thing that might make me finally hand over the keys again, is the thought that Paris will always only ever been a few hours away.

Up on the hill.

Today we went to my favourite place ever ever ever in Paris. A little well-known hill called Montmartre. We ate lunch in a tiny hidden park behind the Sacre Coeur and then we had ice cream for dessert in Place de Tertre, the cutest square lined with cafe's and street artists. Today has been a beautiful beautiful day, except for the fact my feet are killing me slowly now...

Montmartre is simply the most beautiful place to get lost in. Once you finally lose the herds of tourists flocking at the foot of the Sacre Coeur and the tourist streets, it's a magically quiet, colourful, old area. Plus I am going absolutely LOOPY for blossom at the moment and Montmarte is full of gorgeous pink and white trees that I thoroughly enjoyed throwing all over myself in front of a group of elderly walkers. BLOSSOM IS JUST TOO INVITING.

Mother's day.

Katie-Leask-Photography-033-SMy mum has got to be the most kindhearted, warm spirited, generous, loving and downright bloody marvelous mother that there is. After a few years of being too young to value her, and then a few more years of being too much of a stroppy teenager to appreciate her, it is just the most beautiful thing to finally cherish her as the totally inspiring and loving person that she is. Especially when she sends cute little cards in the post to us in Paris. Yep, especially when she does that.

So, cheers to the most amazing woman in the world. ❤ (This isn't even an April Fool either, I've just clocked the date. No joking around, just plain and simple Mum Love).
